Back-Up Camera

The rear Back-Up Camera uses a wide-angle lens television camera mounted into the rear tailgate latch and a flip-down display monitor mounted in the overhead console, providing an enhanced rear view to assist drivers in parking, backing up or hitching a trailer. The camera automatically transmits video signals - containing a composite view from the rear of the vehicle - when the ignition switch is on and the driver shifts into reverse. These signals are transmitted to the monitor in order to provide the driver with a color image of the area the camera sees behind the vehicle.
